Tucked away in the San Juan National Forest is an amazing hidden gem - Island Lake. This alpine lake is a rich blue colour and uniquely surrounds a rock island - giving extra texture and depth to its photogenic setting. The trek to the lake is relatively long, a steep four mile hike, but packed with amazing photo spots along the way.
