Jätkänkynttilä (Lumberjack's Candle Bridge) was the first cable-stayed road bridge built in Finland. The design of the bridge pays homage to the city's logging and lumberjack heritage. The two towers are hollow and lit near the top to remember a lumberjack's candle - traditionally a log that has been hollowed near the top and lit to be used for lighting, cooking and heat. It spans the Kemijoki River which freezes completely in the middle of winter creating unique shooting opportunities. (Rovaniemi, Finland)
