Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park is one of Missouri's most outstanding examples of a shut-in. It is a narrow gorge-shaped part of an otherwise wide valley. The spectacular chutes and waterfalls are confined within the canyon-like gorges of the East Fork of the Black River. (Middle Brook, Missouri)
