Boise's oldest park, Julia Davis Park, was created thanks to a generous donation of 43 acres of land in 1907 by Thomas Davis as a memorial to his beloved wife, Julia. The park sits right along the Boise River providing many scenic views through the forest along its scenic paths. The park is also home to a Rose Garden where 2,400 roses bloom every year.
