At a towering height of 3800 meters, Kedarkantha is a majestic peak located in Govind wild life National santuary Park of Uttarkashi. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Kedarkantha is one of the most popular treks in Uttarakhand due to its relative ease of access and gradual inclination. The trek to the peak of Kedarkantha usually starts from Sankri, a small neighbouring village, and takes four days to complete with each day filled with stunning views. Best time to do this trek is from the first week of November to the last week of April, you can find a lot of snowfall here. Right from snow-capped mountains, green pastures forest, frozen lake to a pleasing divine summit, this hike offers everything that you wish for as a hiker and photographer.
