Kejimkujik Seaside Park
Kejimkujik Seaside is a remote coastal section of the national park where glacier-carved headlands, sweeping sand beaches, and rocky coves meet the open Atlantic with almost no signs of development in sight. The lack of crowds and artificial light makes this an exceptional place for clean, unspoiled coastal compositions; try shooting from the headlands looking down into the coves, or get low on the sand to use wave wash and tidal pools as foreground interest. Seals and shorebirds appear regularly just offshore, so a longer telephoto lens is worth bringing alongside a wide angle for the expansive seascapes. Overcast days soften the light beautifully and bring out the greens and grays of the landscape, though golden hour on a clear morning delivers dramatic warm tones across the sand. The park requires a moderate walk in, so arrive with time to explore before the light peaks. (Port Joli, Nova Scotia, Canada)
