About Kurmrags Lighthouse
Kurmrags lighthouse was built in the headland of Kurmrags in 1923 after being damaged in a storm in 1967 the light was turned off and left abandoned. During a tornado in 2005 the lighthouse was further damaged and actually moved down into the Gulf of Riga along the rocky shoreline where it has been slowly moved around by the ocean currents and storms.
