About Lajedo de Pai Mateus
Lajedo de Pai Mateus is a stunning group of huge rock formations, including Pedra do Capacete (Helmet Rock), in the backlands of Paraíba. Some boulders have carvings made by Cariri Indians, who inhabited the area roughly 12,000 years ago. This area is privately owned so you will need to pay the admission fee in order to explore it. The nearby Hotel Fazenda Pai Mateus will be able to organize admission.
