Lake Brome Forests

The forests surrounding Lake Brome offer a stunning mix of deciduous and coniferous trees that explode with color each autumn, making this one of Quebec's most rewarding fall foliage locations. Walking the trails through Fisher's Point, you will find natural frames created by tree canopies, reflections of the forest along the lake's edge, and open clearings where light filters through the leaves in the early morning hours. Golden hour is ideal here, with warm low-angle light cutting through the trees and casting long shadows across the forest floor. A wide-angle lens works well for expansive canopy shots, while a telephoto lets you compress layers of color across the hillsides. The area is accessible by foot with well-maintained paths, and drone pilots will find the elevated perspective reveals the full scale of the color across the landscape. Visit mid to late October for peak foliage. (Knowlton, Quebec, Canada)
