Footpaths and campsites make this a fantastic place for an outdoor adventure, and the scenery doesn't;t disappoint. The hiking and backpacking trails encircle entirely the lake, which has crystal clear blue waters. Home to the Louisiana State Arboretum, the area is home to a stunning beech-magnolia forest.
