About Lord Lonsdale Shipwreck
Sitting just off shore, Lord Lonsdale is slowly rusting away. First built in the 1890's it caught fire as it was making the long journey up around the coast since the Panama Canal hadn't been built yet. It's been slowly rotting away in Punta Arenas since the early 1900's.
