About Manzanita Lake
Manzanita Lake is a peaceful lake that was formed when Manzanita Creek was dammed 300 years ago by a rock avalanche from the northwest slope of the Chaos Crags. The lake is circled by a scenic walking trail and on the north side there are great vantage points to capture Lassen Peak’s dramatic cone reflecting in the lake’s blue water.
