Mount Princeton

Mount Princeton is one of Colorado’s “Fourteeners". It attracts hikers and photographers seeking a high alpine summit with expansive views across the Arkansas Valley and surrounding mountain ranges. The standard route follows a rough 4WD road partway up the mountain before continuing on a steep, rocky trail that climbs above treeline to a broad summit ridge. From the top, the landscape opens in every direction, with layered peaks, distant valleys, and dramatic skies creating strong wide angle compositions.
