This area of the Murzuk Dunes is an extremely arid region of ergs or great sand dunes which is part of the greater Sahara Desert. The desert surrounding Murzuk forms huge dunes, usually in a rich deep orange colour that are known to shift and flow with the forceful winds. (Murzuk, Libya)
