Niederaußem Power Station
Niederaußem Power Station is a major lignite-fired power plant in western Germany. Dominated by massive cooling towers and industrial structures, it offers striking opportunities for industrial and documentary photography. The sheer scale of the plant works well for wide shots, while pipes, towers, and steam clouds provide strong details and textures for closer compositions. Steam plumes are especially visible in cooler weather, adding movement and atmosphere to images.
