The Okanagan Observatory lies high on the hilltop between Kelowna and Big White ski Resort. Tucked away in the forest, away from the lights of the city it offers an excellent opportunity to photograph the night sky. The Okanagan Observatory hosts free public observing nights every Friday featuring a 25 inch telescope to show off celestial wonders such as the Moon, planets, comets, dying stars, stellar nurseries, globular clusters, open clusters and galaxies.
