Old Caoling Tunnel was originally built in the 1920s to connect northern Taiwan with the eastern coast by rail. Since there is now a newer, more efficient rail route this tunnel has been refurbished as a bike trail. Its roughly 2 km long and there are many places to rent bikes near the entrance. The main point of entry is Fúlóng, a beach town in New Taipei City.
