Parque Nacional Natural Sierra de la Macarena is one of Colombia's best-protected national parks and contains the fabulous rivers, streams, waterfalls, lush forests and scenic trails to explore. This area is also a perfect spot to shoot a clear night under the Colombian night sky. Most of the access to the park is from the town of La Macarena, which sits just south of the park on the other side of the Río Guayabero although it is also accessible from the north side too.
