The name (translated is ‘old lady’s nook’) comes from the park's main attraction, the active Volcán Rincón de la Vieja (1895m). The park also covers several other peaks in the same volcanic range, including the highest one - Volcán Santa María (1916m). The park is filled with well-maintained, but sometimes steep, trails. We recommend you bring your wide angle lens for stunning views and your fastest zoom for the jungle wildlife!
