The Courtyard of the Maidens is a stunning location to see. The lower level of the patio was built by Peter I and included inscriptions that described Peter himself as Sultan. Numerous luxurious rooms are located on the patio sides. In the centre there is a large rectangular pool with gardens on each side. For many years the garden was completely paved in marble with a fountain in the centre.
