Penzance Promenade stretches along Mount's Bay on Cornwall's far southwest coast, offering an open, west-facing seafront with one of the most iconic views in England: St Michael's Mount rising from the water roughly four miles across the bay. The long promenade gives you a clear foreground of railings, paths, and sea walls to use as leading lines drawing the eye toward the mount. Shoot from low angles near the water's edge to bring the reflections and texture of the bay into play, or pull back wider to include the town's Victorian seafront architecture. Golden hour and sunset are exceptional here, as the light falls directly over the mount and colors the water beautifully. During Atlantic storms, waves break dramatically over the sea wall, creating powerful action shots, though you should keep a safe distance and watch for rogue waves. A wide zoom in the 24-70mm range covers most compositions well. (Penzance, Cornwall, United Kingdom)
