Phantom Falls is a breathtaking 166 feet high straight drop as the river runs off the edge of Coal Canyon in front of a grotto. These falls do change quite a bit depending on the weather, they are best close to the spring melt and after a rain. The trail has very little shade so it can get quite hot during the summer months.
