Plage de Stella is a wide, open beach on the Opal Coast of northern France, known for its pale sand, rolling grass-covered dunes, and the rows of colorful wooden beach huts that line the promenade. The beach huts are one of the most distinctive features here, and shooting them in a tight row with a short telephoto lens compresses the perspective and makes the colors pop. For wider compositions, position yourself low on the sand at the base of the dunes to use them as a natural frame against the sky. The beach faces west, making late afternoon and golden hour ideal for warm sidelight raking across the sand and huts. Overcast days are also worth considering, as the soft diffused light typical of this region enhances the pastel tones without harsh shadows. The promenade is easy to walk along and gives you multiple angles to explore. (Stella-Plage, Hauts-de-France, France)
