About Playa Conchal
Playa Conchal is a long stretch of beach surrounded by a rocky headland known as Punta Conchal, which gets its name from the sand found here that is composed of hundreds of millions of tiny crushed shells. As you walk to the far end of the beach, it slowly switches from tiny crushed shells to a very soft, light sand. This beautiful beach is bathed in sunshine most of the time, with over 10 hours of daylight from December to April. (Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica)
