Playa de Xagó

Playa de Xagó is a long, open beach located along the northern coast of Asturias in Spain, between Avilés and Cabo Peñas. Backed by a protected dune system, the area has a more natural and undeveloped feel compared to many nearby beaches. The shoreline stretches out in a gentle curve with plenty of space and uninterrupted views of the Atlantic. Low vegetation and soft sand dunes create gentle layers behind the beach, adding depth to the landscape. The area is also popular with surfers thanks to consistent waves. Changing weather from the Atlantic can quickly shift the mood, and softer light later in the day helps bring out texture in the sand and dunes.
