Ponte Gobbo

Ponte Gobbo is a medieval stone bridge spanning the Trebbia River, its famously irregular arches rising and falling at different heights to create one of the most naturally cinematic silhouettes in northern Italy. The asymmetry is the whole point here, so position yourself low along the riverbank to emphasize the undulating roofline against the sky, or wade into the shallows for a reflection shot when the water is calm. Golden hour works beautifully in both directions, with warm light hitting the pale stone in the morning from the eastern bank and softer backlit tones in the evening from the west.
