Praia de São Torpes
São Torpes Beach covers a long stretch with golden sand dotted by rocks. The water here is a noticeable couple of degrees warmer than its neighbouring beaches because of the Sines thermoelectric plant. The Northern part has more sand, more people and warmer water; while the southern end is wilder, has more rocks and almost no sand on high tide. The beach has some unique vantage points to capture the contrast between the lush beachfront nature and the industrial plant backdrop. (Sines, Portugal)
