Praia do Campeche

Praia do Campeche is a long, open beach located on the eastern side of Florianópolis in southern Brazil. It’s a popular surfing spot with consistent Atlantic swells that draws both local surfers and visitors throughout the year. The beach has powerful waves, including the “Campeche Rights,” which can produce long rides when conditions line up. Different sections of the beach offer some variety, with the “Pico” area typically more approachable, while “Riozinho” can bring faster, more hollow waves that suit more experienced surfers. Because the beach faces east, sunrise is a great time to visit, with soft light coming up over the ocean and adding color across the water and sand. Beyond the surf, the wide sandy shoreline and open ocean views create a clean, uncluttered setting, with Ilha do Campeche visible offshore adding another point of interest.
