Race Street Pier is a narrow elevated park extending into the Delaware River, offering some of the best views of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge in Philadelphia. The bridge dominates the scene when you position yourself near the pier's edge and shoot back toward it at a slight angle, letting its cables and towers fill the upper frame while the river reflects light below. A wide angle lens works well here for dramatic bridge compositions, while a short telephoto helps isolate the cable patterns against the sky. Golden hour and blue hour are both strong options; at sunrise the light catches the bridge from the east and the city skyline sits quietly behind you, while evening brings warm tones across the water. The pier is flat and fully accessible, with open lawn space that lets you move freely and adjust your framing without obstruction. (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States)
