Rådhuset is one of the most dramatic stations on Stockholm's metro system, carved directly into bedrock and left intentionally raw, with the cave-like ceiling painted a deep brick red that gives the space an almost cinematic, otherworldly quality. You will want a wide-angle lens to capture the full sweep of the arched tunnel, using the platform edge and track lines as leading lines that pull the eye deep into the frame. The curved ceiling works especially well when you position yourself near the center of the platform and shoot toward either end, compressing the repeating arches into a strong geometric rhythm. Since the station is entirely underground and artificially lit, you can shoot at any time of day, but visiting during off-peak hours means fewer commuters interrupting your compositions. Bring a tripod if you can, as the light levels are low; a 16-35mm range is ideal here. (Stockholm, Sweden)
