Restormel Castle is an impressive circular structure, built in the late 13th century as a luxurious retreat for its medieval owners and was twice visited by Edward, the Black Prince. The castle was pretty much in ruins by the 16th century. It commands fantastic views across the valley of the river Fowey. (Lostwithiel, England)
