Roker Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse sitting at the end of a long stone pier. Dating back to the late 1880's it was built of granite-faced concrete blocks, which were manoeuvred into place by a gas-powered crane nicknamed 'Goliath'. The lighthouse is quite photogenic during sunrise and can be quite the dynamic photo location during rough weather. (Sunderland, England)
