Salinas de Cabo Rojo (Salt Flats of Cabo Rojo) are a group of small lakes used in the production of salt. Their various shades of pink come from the levels of salinity and the colours do vary depending on the weather, rainfall and water levels in each pond. The area is filled with scenic hiking trails and an observation tower, along with an information centre. (Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico)
