Salto del Nervion

Salto del Nervión is the tallest waterfall in Spain, plunging over 200 meters from a limestone cliff on the border of the Basque Country near Delika. The waterfall is fed by the Nervión River and is highly seasonal, often flowing strongest after periods of heavy rain and sometimes reduced to a trickle in dry conditions. The site sits within a protected natural area, with viewpoints accessible and walking trails that are easily accessible from nearby parking areas. Sheer cliffs, expansive valley views, and shifting weather patterns define the landscape, with mist and low clouds often adding atmosphere. The main viewpoint looks directly across to the waterfall, while additional paths lead to different angles along the cliff edge.
