Sanatorium du Basil
Sanatorium du Basil is an old abandoned hospital sitting high on the top of a hill surrounded by forest. It was originally built as a tuberculosis sanatorium in the early 1900s and was operational until 1947. It was later converted into a rehabilitation centre and a nursing home before being used as a reception centre for asylum seekers. The building was abandoned in 2013 and has since fallen into considerable decay. The grounds are easily accessible with a short walk up Borgoumont Rd. (Stoumont, Belgium)
