Sand River Falls

The Sand River ends in a lovely series of cascades as it empties into Lake Superior. As you head up the Sand River along the Pinguisibi Trail, there are almost an endless series of waterfalls. You can easily access this photo location as it is easy to spot along the Trans Canada Highway as you drive through Lake Superior Provincial Park. There is a picnic site and pull-off from which the falls are accessible. Depending on the time of the year, the falls can be tame or highly fast-moving.
