Shaki Waterfall has formed where the basalt lava flows have solidified to make a ledge 18 m high from allowing the water to cascades down. The water flow is controlled by a reservoir so the levels vary depending on the time of day - after 11am the flows are generally much higher and more dynamic. (Shaki, Armenia)
