Shell Beach is a beautiful long beach where instead of sand the beach is completely made up of tiny white shells. It is one of only two shell beaches in the world. The seawater here has a high salinity which has allowed the cockles to live without worry since its natural predators have not adapted well to this environment. The water in this area is crystal clear, adding to the beaches beauty. It also is a spectacular sunset shooting location. The shells can be sharp so we recommend wearing shoes while you shoot (and swim) and please leave all the shells where you find them for others to come and enjoy.
