St. Philomena's Cathedral is one of the largest churches in India, built in neo-Gothic style with dramatic twin spires rising nearly 54 meters, modeled loosely on the Cologne Cathedral. The symmetrical facade rewards a centered composition shot from the main road in front, where you can frame the full height of both spires with a wide-angle lens, ideally 16-24mm. Early morning gives you soft, even light on the pale stone exterior before the crowds arrive, and the east-facing facade catches warm golden light shortly after sunrise. Step inside for high-contrast shots of the vaulted nave and luminous stained-glass windows, where a longer exposure on a tripod helps balance the dark interior with the colored light. The grounds are openly accessible during the day, and shooting from the far end of the approach path gives you the most complete and unobstructed view of the full facade. (Mysuru, Karnataka, India)
