Storseisundbrua

Storseisundbrua is the most iconic of the eight bridges along the Atlantic Ocean Road, famous for its dramatic curve that creates a breathtaking optical illusion, making the road appear to vanish into the sky or plunge straight into the sea. The classic shot is captured from the small parking area on the southern end, where a low angle looking up toward the bridge's crest makes the illusion most convincing, especially with a telephoto lens in the 70-200mm range to compress the perspective and heighten the effect. Overcast or stormy days work brilliantly here, as dramatic clouds and crashing waves amplify the wild, edge-of-the-world atmosphere the bridge is known for. Early morning gives you softer light and far fewer tourist crowds. Wear sturdy shoes if you plan to walk down toward the shoreline for lower vantage points, and be prepared for strong, gusting winds.
