The Trees of Slope Point

The Trees of Slope Point are located at the southernmost point of New Zealand’s South Island, where strong Antarctic winds have shaped the trees into striking shapes. This remote area sits along a rugged stretch of coastline, with open farmland leading to cliffs that drop into the Ocean. The trees themselves have become a defining feature of the landscape, bent and sculpted by constant exposure to extreme conditions. The tress are easily reached from Slope Point Road, with a short walk from the nearby parking areas.
