Thenford House is an 18th century country house built for Michael Wodhull, the bibliophile and translator. Construction took place between 1761 and 1765. Since the 1970s, the house has been the country home of Michael Heseltine who has constructed a stunning arboretum on the grounds. Now the house is surrounded by 70 acres of magnificent gardens and a renowned arboretum. The house and grounds are privately owned but are open to explore a few days a year. (Thenford, England)
