Torre Astura are the remains of a defensive tower and stone bridge stretching out into the bay. The tower was built by the Frangipane family starting from 1193, to protect itself from the numerous raids of the Saracens. The tower is only accessible by foot, there is parking along SP-106b (open July/Aug and weekends in Sept) and an easy to follow trail through the woods. (Nettuno, Italy)
