Torre Campanaria di La Morra is a historic brick bell tower that stands tall looking out over the medieval village of La Morra. It was built in the early 1700s on the base of a collapsed medieval tower. It sits overlooking Piazza Castello, a bustling public square. From the square's terrace you can frame the tower against open sky. As you explore the village's winding medieval roads the tower appears over the rooftops at almost every turn. Climbing to the top of the bell tower puts you up above the roof line giving an amazing view looking out over the surrounding vineyards and rolling hills. A layer of fog sitting in the valley is common in cooler months, often sitting just below the village and leaving the ridge lines clear. The tower opens on weekends and during art exhibitions.
