Tour Part-Dieu, often referred to as "Le Crayon" due to its pencil-like shape, is Lyon’s most recognizable skyscraper, rising 165 meters above the city skyline. Located in the bustling Part-Dieu business district, the tower is a focal point for urban photography, offering strong architectural lines and dynamic contrasts with the surrounding modern and historic buildings. While the tower itself is not open for public viewing, nearby rooftops, pedestrian areas, and adjacent buildings provide excellent vantage points for capturing its unique silhouette, especially during sunset or at night when it’s illuminated. The area is easily accessible by public transit, including the Lyon Part-Dieu train station just steps away, making it a convenient stop for cityscape and architectural photographers.
