About U.S. Bancorp Tower
Rising high over downtown Portland, the U.S. Bancorp Tower is hard to miss. Locals call it "Big Pink" thanks to its rosy granite and glass exterior. All that glass means the building is constantly shifting its colour as the light changes throughout the day, making it a fun subject from sunrise to sunset. With 42 floors, it's the second tallest building in the city after the Wells Fargo Center. You can experiment with shooting it from street level looking up for a dramatic angle and coming back at different times of day to capture its various colour changes. It also works will from a distance if you want to capture how it stands out against the rest of the skyline. It's the perfect addition to a day exploring the architecture of downtown Portland.
