Uhrovský hrad
Uhrovský hrad (Uhrovec castle) was built in the middle of the 13th century in the rugged terrain of the Nitrické hills. Due to its location, the castle did not find itself in the center of great fighting, it was not even destroyed by Turkish troops during their raids. By the mid 1800s the castle was rarely used and began to fall into disrepair before it was eventually abandoned completely. (Uhrovské Podhradie, Slovakia)
