Ventisquero Negro

Ventisquero Negro, located within Nahuel Huapi National Park, is a visually unique glacier known for its dark, debris-covered ice. Unlike typical blue-tinged glaciers, its surface is layered with volcanic sediment and rock, creating deep contrasts against the surrounding snow-capped Andes and glacial lake below. Photographers will find compelling compositions here, from close-up textures of the blackened ice to sweeping alpine landscapes. The glacier is best viewed from a designated lookout reached via a short trail or guided excursion from nearby Pampa Linda.
