Perched on a dramatic volcanic cliff at the edge of Andalusia's rugged coastline, this 19th-century lighthouse offers one of the most striking seascape compositions in southern Spain. The white tower against the deep blue Mediterranean is the obvious shot, but the real reward comes from exploring the rocky foreshore below, where jagged black basalt formations create powerful foreground interest leading the eye up toward the structure. Shoot from the path that descends toward the water for a low angle that emphasizes the cliff height, or pull back along the coastal trail to capture the lighthouse in the context of the wider cape. Golden hour light in the late afternoon warms the white facade beautifully, and stormy days add drama to the waves crashing against the rocks. A wide to mid-range zoom works well here; the site is reachable by car with a short walk to the viewpoints. (Cabo de Gata, Almería, Spain)
