Oval Plaza (The Archaeological Site of Jerash) is surrounded by an Ionic colonnade made up of 56 columns, each made from four blocks of stone. Jerash flourished during the Greco and Roman periods until the mid-eighth century CE, Jerash today is home to one of the best preserved Greco-Roman cities. (Jerash, Jordan)
